I have been slowly redoing my bedroom. It’s a big room so the idea of repainting the whole thing and then adding molding everywhere didn’t sound fun. So I am repainting one wall at a time so I paint, add molding (not fun and labor intensive parts), and then I get to decorate and take pretty pictures (the fun parts). So it balances it out for me! I’ve done the wall behind my bed and the adjacent wall where my vanity sits, but I have the wall with the closet door and the wall on my husband’s side of the room left to do. I’ve decided to next concentrate on the wall with the closet door mostly because I had a fun idea to paint the doors pink and add some fun overlays to create some pattern! This Palm Springs door was my inspiration:
Alright- here are the before images. Dark grey walls, black trim, dark and heavy #braceyourself
Here’s the plan- paint the walls white, add picture molding, paint the doors pink, add overlays, put up new art that is fresh and modern. Ready for the mood board?
Won’t that be so much better?! And the sad truth is that the before pictures are actually a cleaned version of what it actually looks like. After remodeling our living room, this room is a mess! Check back next week for some progress photos!
