My older sister is having a baby at the end of June! This will be her 4th baby and a boy. I am so excited to be an auntie again! I am also excited because she asked me to help design her nursery. She requested a travel nursery that is airy and bright. Here is the before of the room:
I am super jealous of this big room with wood floors and lots of natural light! She has the mint changing table and the white Pottery Barn bookshelf she wants to work with. Here is the mood board I created for this room:
Here’s the plan:
Paint 3 walls a light mint color
Replace the curtains with long, white blackout curtains
Add some art! I love this “let them be little” print
I think we will plank the back wall with wood to give it a ship lap look and paint it white like in this nursery. This is a great budget tutorial and I priced out the wood– it will be $40 to do this wall!
I love the whimsical wallpaper from the nursery on the lower left hand side, but it is from Europe and so it wouldn’t arrive in time 🙁
I am obsessed with globes with hand writing on them. The good news is that my sister has one! This one was found here
Last, but not least, is a mint lamp from Target. I love having dim lighting with a baby- there’s nothing like reading a bed time story with only a lamp to get ready for sleeping.
