Last year while we worked hard on the patio, we laid pavers down for the fire pit area. It’s much improved to how it used to look, but I see SO many opportunities to elevate it even more. I thought I’d share those plans plus a round up of affordable fire pits in case you’re looking for one too!
plans for my outdoor fire pit area
Here’s how my fire pit is looking right now-
Like I said, cute pavers, but the wood benches are uncomfortable and leave much to be desired looks wise. I’d love to use furniture to tie into the rest of the patio furniture. I also have ideas of how to make a DIY wood holder. We use this area a few times a week for fire and s’mores. It’s functional but not quite living up to its potential.
And here’s the opposite view- looking into the orchard with the arbor in the background. One day, I’m planning on building a play house for Don tucked in those trees to the left of the arbor. Here’s what I’m envisioning for the fire pit area-
bench / burlington fire pit / floral pillow / pink outdoor pillow / Adirondack chair / inspiration image
My first thought was white Adirondack chairs all around fire pit. But Don loves to snuggle so I’m also considering a cute bench. Maybe a combination of both would be cute? I’ll definitely keep a basket of throw blankets handy since it gets a little chilly at night. Can’t you just imagine how cute this’d be?!
Pretty and Affordable Fire Pits
Our fire pit has seen better days. I’ve been scouring the internet for a replacement. My criteria is something around or less than $200. That can be hard to find- that price point sells out quickly. I also personally prefer a wood burning fire pit since we have lots of old wood on the property to burn. I’ve included a few propane options in this round up too-
1 chevron / 2 owen park / 3 cast iron / 4 pipestone / 5 fire ball / 6 burlington / 7 fire ring / 8 steel wood burning / 9 milliani / 10 fire column
Which one is your favorite? I think I’m partial to number 6 with the lattice pattern. Do you have a fire pit area in your backyard? What do you think of my plans- anything you think I should add or do you like the ideas?
