DIY Dog leash and treat Station

Hi Friends! Do you ever think of a project and realize that it solves all of your problems? Ok, so maybe that’s an exaggeration, but when I decided to make a leash and treat station for my dogs, I felt pretty smart! Suddenly, I had a place for leashes, treats, and probably the dog brush too! I thought I’d share this tutorial in case you need one place for your dog stuff too!

If there’s one thing my dog’s love, it’s going on walks. With the weather warming up, we’re leaving everyday for a stroll. I wanted a place to have their leashes so that we can get out of the door quickly.

supplies

wood shelf (I got mine from the thrift store for $2)
Hooks
Brass label holder
Fluff chalk paint
Clear satin top coat

step 1- paint

Start the project by giving the shelf two coats of chalk paint. Finish it off with a clear top coat to seal the paint. I also gave the hooks a coat of paint so they match (plus I didn’t love the distressed look).

step 2- add in hooks and label holders

Finish by screwing in the label holders and hooks. I hand wrote a little label for each dog as a cute detail. At night, their collars hang here too.

I’m really happy with how this quick project came together! In the little canister on the shelf I actually have potty bags there for dog walks. Treats there would also work! One of my dogs has dietary restrictions and can’t have treats, but I love having bags ready for the walk!

I found that little ceramic dog sculpture while out vintage shopping. It reminded me of my sweet dogs and its perfect here! I think I’ll also put their brush on here so it has a permanent home.

Can you tell that Lucy is also thrilled with the new addition?! Lol!

Freshpet

One thing Lucy is a fan of is eating! I’ve been feeding my dogs Freshpet for awhile and they love it! So what is Freshpet? Its dog food that is stored in the fridge.
