Hey there! One of my long time decor loves is wallpaper! Since it can really change the look of any room, it’s always one of my go-to’s when I’m designing a space. And chinoiserie wallpaper is no exception! If you’re looking for gorgeous options, here are my favorite sources for traditional chinoiserie wallpaper.
My Favorite Sources for Traditional Chinoiserie Wallpaper
Isn’t chinoiserie wallpaper the prettiest? It’s such a timeless look, and it’s totally in style right now! Today, I’ll be sharing sources for permanent chinoiserie wallpaper.
If you’re looking for removable or peel and stick options, I did a post about that here.
Difference Between Traditional and Peel and Stick
First of all, I want to start by explaining the difference between each type of wallpaper.
Traditional wallpaper is the old-school version that you need an adhesive to stick it to the wall. However, way back in the day it got a bad reputation for being difficult to remove.
But nowadays, it’s made in a new way that makes it MUCH easier to remove. It’s also very breathable, so it expands and contracts with humidity in the air. Also, it can be wiped down without damaging it.
Another point about traditional wallpaper is that since you apply the paste beforehand, you have a grace period before it dries. Meaning, if you see any mistakes then you can easily remove it and put it in the right place.
On the other hand, peel and stick wallpaper comes pre-pasted, which makes it more of a decal. It’s also known as the renter’s wallpaper because it comes off so easily.
While peel and stick is durable, it isn’t quite as durable as traditional wallpaper.
So if you’re looking for a wallpaper that you know you’re going to love long-term, I would recommend choosing the traditional version.
Now, let’s get started with all my favorite sources for the most gorgeous (and permanent!) chinoiserie wallpaper.
First off is Amazon! While they can be a little hit and miss, I find that specific searches like ‘chinoiserie wallpaper’ returns great results.
One thing to note is that if you’re looking for permanent wallpaper, make sure to search the product description before purchasing! Some are actually removable wallpaper in disguise.
Here are a few cute options from Amazon.

I will forever be crying over how gorgeous Caitlin Wilson’s designs are! I mean, can they get any more fabulous than the ones below?
While they’re definitely beautiful, they’re also a higher price point. So, I would get these if you’re planning to keep them up for a long time. Or, if you love the design and think it’s worth the investment.
But go ahead, you deserve beautiful things! Either way, let’s just swoon together over how beautiful her wallpapers are.
Another one of my favorite places for permanent wallpaper is Etsy. Since they have countless shops, you can definitely find something you’ll love. Below, I share some of the shops I love.
THE GOODIES WALLPAPER
So I just found this shop, and I love their designs! The scale of the images is just right, and I love how big the patterns are. They’re just bold and beautiful. It’s definitely a good choice if you’re looking for a wallpaper that will stand out.
With this shop, you can choose from a few types of wallpaper: traditional, non-woven and peel and stick.
CHINOISERIE WALL DECO
This shop has a lot of great chinoiserie options. Specifically, their murals are so pretty! They’re very classic but with an updated, modern feel. I’ve got my eye on a few of them!
So this is a shop out of Texas, and they have the most beautiful designs! Another thing that’s great about them is that you have the option to purchase either peel and stick or permanent versions of their wallpaper.
While I haven’t personally purchased from them, I still can’t get enough of all their prints. So pretty!
While Mong Decor only has one official chinoiserie option, it was too good not to share! Also, they have some other pretty floral choices. But how gorgeous is the one below?!
