Easter is one of my favorite holidays. Pastels! Cute spring animals! Candy! I just love it all- ok!?! So I put together my table a few days early to share some Easter Tablescape ideas.
Easter tablescape ideas
1- start with a tablecloth
Can I tell you a trend I’m seeing in 2021 that I’m loving? Patterns, comfort, layers, interest. It feels fresh though it’s all been done before. And with it- tablecloths! They feel thoughtful, a little fancy, and comfy.
This one is a print block from this Instagram account. It’s the perfect for a tablescape.
2- make a whimsical centerpiece
For the centerpiece, I wanted something simple but still sweet. I took a ceramic bunny, decorative easter eggs and reindeer moss from Michael’s.
I painted craft eggs I had on hand with flowers, stripes, and scallops. The pastel craft paint was easy to apply and looks so sweet.
I put everything together on top of a cake stand for an elevated centerpiece. Honestly, the moss kind of smells (lol), but it is a cute and temporary centerpiece. The pieces can all be used again separately and will store easily.
Mostly, it’s cute and sweet in the middle of the table. Spring flowers would be cute tucked in too!
3- tie a napkin to look like a bunny
Next, this is a really simple way to tie a linen napkin. Just fold a napkin in fourths and then wrap it around a faux egg and tie with a bow. It looks like bunny ears and it SO easy to do.
4- have fun with the theme
When I was out thrifting, I happened upon this beautiful cabbage ware serving dish. I was so excited! These are hard to find and are usually expensive. This one was $3 and made in Portugal. It’s by Bordaallo Pinheiro who started creating these in the 1960’s and still makes cabbage ware now!
I was thrilled with this find! I also love that it plays in nicely with the Easter theme. Bunnies like cabbage! I also had some cute Lindt chocolate carrots for it.
5- chocolate bunny name settings
Finally, I thought it’d be fun to have a little chocolate bunny for each place setting. I put it with the name card, but it’d be really cute to put the card on the bow on the bunny’s neck.
I figure, who wouldn’t want a piece of chocolate to after dinner?!
after
Easter is coming up on Sunday so hopefully one of these ideas was helpful! I’ll be setting this up again on Sunday. I’m going to request meatloaf from my fancy chef husband. I’ll make the mashed potatoes 😉
I’m looking forward to an Easter egg hung and then dinner right here in this sunny kitchen! I hope you have a lovely day too.
