Hi friends! Last week I started sharing my favorite links and thoughts and ideas from the previous 7 days. It’s kind of a nice way to reflect on things! I thought I’d continue it.
This week I worked hard on my living room- painting one wall pink and the door pink as well. We installed a wall of trelliage and it’s looking so beautiful! Having a room I love means so much especially right now. Are you working on any projects? Keeping busy and making things is my therapy.
Behind the scenes- our friend gave us his old TV and we’re so grateful! Especially Don-lol! Here’s him and Lucy watching a show together. We do homeschooling in the morning, art time (like when we decorated his bulletin board this week), and play outside. In the afternoon I let him watch TV and it’s nice for all of us to have a break.
Every night I read a bit of a chapter book to Don. We’ve slowly been reading bigger books. He’s 5 now and I’m counting down the days until I can read Harry Potter to him. I’m thinking I’ll try this illustrated version in a few months!
Last week I gave an Air BNB update that it’s currently rented out until mid April. My family and I are still planning on spending June and July there. Obviously, who knows what the world will be like then? But if we do spend a few summer months there, we’re planning updates that’ll make it better for rentals. Things like putting in a real backsplash and replace the countertops. And, of course, lots of backyard work!
I’ve started planning out my patio redo (you can see a sneak peek in this post), and this image is really inspiring me! I have the same umbrella and just love how cozy and pulled together this space feels.
I ordered this mirror online for my powder room makeover. It should be here shortly! Once the wallpaper gets here I’ll get started on this project!
I like to follow Instagram accounts that sell thrifted/vintage items. It helps me train my eye with what’s valuable. So if, one day when we can thrift again, I see items similar to what’s offered on these accounts, I know to look twice and consider them when I maybe wouldn’t before. This post has me wanting a vintage Staffordshire dog.
Every night I’ve been going for a walk around my neighborhood for at least 20 minutes. I time it so I can see the sunset each night. I listen to a good podcast and enjoy the beautiful weather. It’s good to see that the birds are still singing and the wind is still blowing. Things are going to be ok.
My favorite new thing to binge on YouTube is The Cut by New York Magazine. It’s house tours that are super unique. Here’s my favorite one (so far)!
I have a second thing to suggest to watch, which I guess makes sense since we’re all staying at home right now! My whole family loves to watch Lego Masters. You can watch it for free on Fox and it’s so fun to see what they create!
This quote is giving me so much life right now. More than ever, our homes being a place of peace matters!
Sale alert- Anthropologie is having 25% off their home items! And 50% off sale items! I ordered this palm door knocker for my new door which hopefully I’ll install this week. I also think this flower shop doormat is adorable!

Another thing I need is a new watering can! I have my eye on #6. In case you need a new watering can too, I rounded up a few cute ones for you!
One benefit of all the craziness going on is that I’m learning to appreciate the small things. We had a plant that needed a home, so I put in a basket and I love how it’s looking in my master bedroom.
I hope this weekend is a beautiful one for you! We’re slowly adjusting to our new normal. Finding time to do little things I love, like my nightly walk or doing needlepoint have been helping me slow down and enjoy this time. I hope you find some joy too!
