Thanks Cuties for teaming up with me on this post!
Confession time- Don is a picky eater. It makes me so sad because he used to eat anything! I want him to eat more than spaghetti and pizza, so I’ve started introducing fruits in super fun ways. And its working! Here are 4 easy to make healthy snack ideas for kids that are 99% fruit and so cute.
lion
First up, the lion. The base is a pancake with peanut butter. Bananas and chocolate chips for eyes, cheese for the rest of the face, and Cuties clementines for the mane. Isn’t he cute?! And PSA for everyone, it is officially Cuties season! They are back in the stores, ripe and so delicious.
fish
Next up, the fish. This one is super easy to make as the fish is made of Cuties slices. The eye is frosting with a chocolate chip. The seaweed is cucumbers and the air bubbles are frosting too. This one was particularly popular with my son!
sun and caterpillar
We love the Very Hungry Caterpillar book at our house, so I loved including this one! The sun is made from an Cuties slice and cheese. The caterpillar is made from green grapes, a strawberry slice, frosting, and jam (applied with a paint brush #fancy).
palm trees
I thought this one was so cute! The palm trees are made from bananas and kiwi. The beach is made from Cuties slices. My son doesn’t usually have kiwi (I’m usually too lazy to peel them- ha), so this one was a fun treat!
These were a fun and easy way to get my son exploring new, healthy food. I hope this is helpful for you too! And bonus points, because you’ll feel like the best Pinterest mom ever for making these!
All of the snacks featured Cuties because my son loves them (and it doesn’t hurt that they’re kid sized). I love that they are easy to peel and don’t have seeds. I feel like Cuties are winter’s best gift. Thank goodness for a sweet fruit during the coldest months!

These are adorable – whenever I have a Cutie, I do the Cutie challenge – it’s a little game I made up with my kiddo – we each try to peel it in one piece. It’s sort of hard to explain, but instead of peeling it and breaking or ripping off little pieces of the skin, we try to be more mindful and careful and get it off in one complete piece. Try it – it’s fun!
