One of the first rooms in my new house that I want to tackle is the master bedroom. After I found a pretty head board, I really didn’t want to go with a plain metal frame. So I actually found a bunch of gorgeous (and affordable!) bed frames to match it. I gathered them all here in the prettiest bed frame roundup.

First of all, it’s so much fun to start from scratch in a new place! On the other hand, that means we’ve got a really blank slate. Like, sleeping on an air mattress and sitting on folding chairs kind of clean slate.
Luckily, our mattress arrived late last week and it’s sooo nice to sleep on a real bed! Next up is actually getting the mattress off the floor.
So I ended up getting this cute head board. Are you feeling the beachy, coastal vibes I’m going for with it?!
But since it’s just the head board, I really wasn’t excited about pairing it with a plain ole metal bed frame and hiding it with a bed skirt. There’s nothing wrong with that look, it just feels unfinished to me so I went looking for other options. I was really excited with what I found!

Well, I did some homework. And it turns out you can actually buy some really pretty wood bed frames for an affordable price.
Aren’t these bed frames so gorgeous? I really love #8, the brass option. That one could go with a lot of head boards! Also, #3 the carved wooden one is just the prettiest!

Oh and guess what? In a lot of cases, buying the frame and the head board separately can actually be more affordable than buying a whole bed set. You can even mix and match so that they look like they came together!

I’m so excited to show you how my bedroom is coming together! I added in the Kasia headboard and love the natural rattan against the palm wallpaper!
In pictures, the bed frame is subtle. But in person it feels substantial and like a good foundation to the room.
The headboard breaks up the wallpaper nicely. I still need to add some art over the bed. Also, the room needs more molding and the fan replaced (the one that is up now is dated). It sure is getting there though! You can see the other side of the room here.
