Dinosaur Wallpaper Roundup

Well, we’re slowly starting to decorate our new home in Florida! One of my first places I want to tackle is Don’s room. Since he’s obsessed with dinosaurs, that’s the theme we’re going with. So I gathered a lot of inspiration for his room in today’s dinosaur wallpaper roundup. Let’s dig in!

Well, I think most little kids go through a dinosaur phase, right? But to say Don is in love with dinosaurs is an understatement. Honestly, sometimes I’m shocked (and so proud!) of how many details he remembers about all the specific types. This kid can repeat so many facts about his favorites. 

Also, he loves going to dinosaur museums. Especially the ones where they have a digging area for kids. For his new year’s resolution, he said he wanted to find more bones and learn more dinosaur names.😂 Totally doable!

So when I asked him how he wanted to decorate his new room, no one was surprised when he said he wanted a dinosaur theme. He loves it, so why not?

Before we get to the wallpaper, I wanted to share with you some decor items Don and I are loving for his room. All the ones you see above are from H&M’s new line called Dinos are Forever.

Actually, it was a reader who let me know about it (thank you Courtney)! I already ordered a few things for Don’s room.

What I love about it is that the prices are SO good, they’re so cute and they totally capture Don’s vision. He loves plant eaters so we got the Tricertops head for the wall and the large brontosaurus for the floor. I can’t wait!

Next, I definitely want to put up some cute wallpaper in his room. Since there are so many good options out there, wallpaper is a fun way to add personality to a space. 

Above you’ll see my very favorite dinosaur wallpaper. #2 could be a good option for an older kid because it’s still really trendy with the palm leaves.

But then #12 is fun because the dinos are more detailed and could be fun for a dino-obsessed kid to study a little bit.

Finally, this is the wallpaper we went with for Don’s room! He loves how bright and colorful it is, so we’re all excited to get it put up.

I thought I’d finish this post with the mood board for Don’s room. I’m really excited for how well the tassel drapes match the wallpaper! I’ve always done a more neutral room for Don, but he loves color like me so it’ll be a little more vibrant this time.

I asked him about the wallpaper and he loves it! He did want to make sure we can see a full dinosaur of each type. He also wants shelves with Dinos on them and in particular wants them down low so he can reach each one easily. I love that these are the types of things he cares about and I can definitely honor them.
