This winter felt like the longest ever. In January and February when I was done with the cold weather, I started dreaming of all the ways I was going to make our backyard a happy place to hang out. Step one- an umbrella. I started the hunt and here are my favorites-
the cutest outdoor umbrellas
1 pastel stripe / 2 ice cream parlor pink stripe / 3 tan scalloped pom pom / 4 white and black scallop / 5 pastel stripe with fringe / 6 pink stripe square scallop / 7 floral tassel / 8 fringe beige / 9 aqua blue scallop
Most of these are from Target- I just really love their Opalhouse line. It has the perfect combination of modern and vintage (those scallops)! I really appreciate that there are so many options for a cute umbrella that isn’t boring!
When I was in Palm Springs at the end of March, I saw the Novogratz’s new outdoor line. This umbrella and lounge set was outside and I thought it was part of the hotel’s decor- it is gorgeous! I’ve watched their different shows over the years so meeting them in real life and seeing how kind and down to Earth they were was pretty cool! Somehow I was seated next to them at a dinner and it was definitely a pinch me moment to get to chat with them.
which one I choose
Umbrellas are a little more on the expensive side when it comes to decor. My birthday was at the beginning of April so I asked my family for gift cards to Target! It might sound silly, but I promise that this is a good tip! If you want something for your house, ask for it as a gift! People are usually relieved to give you something they know you’ll love.
Anyway, I ended up going with the floral and tassel umbrella because I love the colors and pattern and I think the tassels are cute. Plus it was in stock at my Target when I went birthday shopping- lol! My backyard still isn’t quite in bloom and pretty, but I snapped a picture as I tried it out.
One day this will be the oasis I know it can be, but for now, at least I can have a shady spot to eat outside!
Anyway, if you need a cute outdoor umbrella, I hope this round-up helped! May we all have a long summer with many hours spent enjoying this beautiful Earth! This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.
