Last week I shared the reveal of my bathroom! The feedback on it has been so positive- thank you! I was a little surprised when the number one question I got was how much it cost. But, I totally get it! I love to hear the bottom line too! So I thought I’d share a full breakdown of the costs for you.
how much did your bathroom redo cost?
Arch Mirror $323.40
Sink Faucet $174.99
Vanity $812.49
White Shelf $82.34
Brass Trip Lever $101.49
Toilet $335.99
Rug $84.57
Floors $40
Baseboards & Chair Rail $55
Light $440
New Window $300
Faux Peony Flowers $128.99
Pink Cabinet $173.99
Art $20
Wallpaper $952
Clawfoot Faucet $303.49
Tub Caddy $93.49
Stool $83.96
Pink Paint for the Tub $10
Bathroom Accessory Set $96.99
Plants for over the Tub $20
Total- $4633.18
summary
You can see from this list that I definitely chose to splurge on some items (like the wallpaper and vanity) and then save on others (like painting the tub and putting in the peel and stick floors). Another thing to note is that I already owned most of the art and accessories from my last bathroom. Reusing those items helped me spend less money!
what would you change?
One day I’ll pay someone to move the tub, tear out the floor, subfloor, the floor that is under that (yep- there’s two sets of floors!), and re-tile the floors. I’ll also add tile to the bottom half of the walls at that point. Dealing with moving the tub and the costs associated with it were too much for me now. But I think its ok to do what you can with renovations and then save up and finish later.
a few notes
Almost exactly a year ago, I remodeled the bathroom in my last home. I also shared the cost breakdown on that space here. I thought I’d add it in case anyone is interested in how that bathroom added up! Here are some tips I have on how to do bathroom renovations on a budget!

Oh man do I love Mistral soaps! What a treat:). But here’s my question: how did you ensure all your brass finishes matched? Or are they “close enough”?

Hi Lauren,
I got the sink faucet, tub faucet, and towel bars all from the same vendor so they 100% match. The light and mirror match but are a slightly different brass (both in the texture and color). Having 2 different finishes doesn’t bother me- I think it add depth. It might bother someone else, but its pretty hard to have everything match perfectly.
