This week I’ve been listing to the podcast Under the Influence- it’s entertaining while being educational all about influencers. On one episode, the host briefly walked through how it’s possible to make money on social media. I figured everyone knew how and then I realized- of course they don’t! It seems like such a secret. My relatives and friends sometimes ask how do influencers make money so I thought I’d share the different ways.
I’ve owned three houses and with all of them, a key step in customizing the space was painting the doors. As with all things DIY, I’ve slowly figured out the best way for how to paint a door and thought I’d share with you some tips and step by step instructions.
I have been having fun making little changes to my she shed. After I put up the window shelf, I couldn’t help thinking how pretty scallop trim would look above the window as a type of header. I decided to shop at an unlikely place for the trim- the Dollar Store. This project cost me $5 and I’m excited to show you how to make diy scalloped wood trim.
Well, I guess I should start this post by saying I made my seasonal move from Florida to Utah last week! And since I’m in Fairview Cottage, I thought I’d work on my She Shed! Last year I redid my main bedroom and after living with it awhile, I hated it. It was dark and heavy and felt oppressive. The truth is that I get depressed sometimes and this room didn’t lift me up. So, even though it was wasteful to remove the wallpaper, it had to come down. This isn’t just a main bedroom reveal, it’s how I designed a room to help with my mental health.
Last fall, I went to work on updating my kitchen from a dated and dreary space to my dream kitchen. One of the things I really considered in the design was color. I started with the sink and then coordinated the fridge and stove. Color in a kitchen can be scary, so I thought I’d give you some tips for bringing it into your space to add more personality and fun.
Spring is practically here! To celebrate the arrival of my favorite season, I decided to build a planter box for flowers. I’ve also been having some bug problems so I wanted to share what I’m doing about those. Keep reading for instructions for the DIY cedar planter box.
As we’ve been working on the garage laundry room renovation for the past month, I’ve been keeping track of every penny we’ve spent on the renovation. From screws for the studs to paint for the baseboards, everything will be counted for. I love to hear how much real renovations cost so I thought I’d breakdown my laundry room costs.
Easter is one of my favorite holidays. Pastels! Cute spring animals! Candy! I just love it all- ok!?! So I put together my table a few days early to share some Easter Tablescape ideas.
I had one goal for my garage laundry room- to make it pretty. It’s what you see right when you come into the back door of the house and it was an eye sore before. I wanted to show you the ideas I have for making a tiny laundry space functional and really great to look at and work in with this garage laundry room reveal. Life is short- do your washing in style ;).
