Easter is in a week and a half (April 4th) so NOW is the time to order a cute dress for yourself! I feel so much hope this spring (which is more than I can say for last year) and what better way to celebrate then getting dressed up?! Here’s what I’m looking for in an Easter dress-
- pastel color (blush pink, yellow, mint, green, blue, or white)
- I like an empire waist dress- it’s so flattering!
- I’m not too picky on the length- I could go for to the knees, midi, or maxi
- Ideally I like sleeves, but again, I can compromise. Especially since spring is the perfect time to layer a jean jacket or cardigan
- Special details- floral pattern, eyelet, embroidery all make the dress more special
Easter is right around my birthday so I have lovely memories of hunting for eggs, dying eggs, and dressing up for a fancy dinner. All this makes Easter one of my favorite holidays! Plus it’s the most pastel time of year for clothes and decorating, which you know I love.
Here’s my favorite dress shops and the dresses I’d buy for Easter-
Roolee is a boutique based in Logan, Utah- where my other house is! There weren’t many cute places to shop, so this quickly became my favorite. They have a big online presence so you can order anything on their site. I’m a big fan (and that buffalo check dress is one I own and one of my favorites!).
Called to surf
Called to Surf is an online only shop. I got a dress from them for Christmas from my husband and love it! They have some really cute dresses. They change out their inventory frequently so it’s fun to see what they just got in. Their prices are great too!
I love a good Target run! Especially since I can grab my son a coordinating top at the same time. I’ll be ordering him a short sleeve button up that he can wear all summer when he needs to be a little fancy.
Madewell is my absolute favorite place for jeans (this style is my favorites since they are so flattering). They are on the pricy side, but have good sales to keep an eye out for. I was pretty impressed by their pastel dresses.
I love Kate Spade! The whimsy, the fun, the joy. It is pricey, but sometimes a girl needs the perfect dress.
I bought a bridesmaids dress from Chicwish last year and still shop there once in awhile for special dresses. I love the details- they’re so much different than what I found anywhere else (in a good way).
Anthropologie used to be my favorite dress shop! I’ve slowed down clothing shopping there since their prices are a little high for my current clothing budget, but they sure make special clothes!
Mod Cloth has such cute retro options! I love their unique and quirky dresses best. Isn’t the vintage vibe fun?!
Amazon has such a huge inventory, it can be overwhelming to look through everything! But look at these cute and affordable options!
Ok! There you have it! My favorite places to shop for Easter dresses.
past Easter Dresses
I was looking in my memory books and found a bunch of cute Easter outfits through the years. Want to see a few?!
Easter 2008. I was very proud of that cake I made! That floral dress was my favorite. I used to wear dresses with light cardigans. Chunky necklaces were a big trend in the early 2000’s and I was here for it!
Easter 2013. I made those bunny ears for Lucy- lol! Pink polka dots and pleats- very cute 😉
Easter 2015. How sweet is my new born baby Don?! I loved that eyelet dress.
Easter 2016. I love Don’s bow tie! This big floral dress was one of my prized possessions. Why did I ever let this go?!
Easter 2019. Probably my favorite Easter picture ever. This was taken on Center Street in Logan where there are the prettiest old houses and the daffodils were in bloom. Plus my little Don is so cute!!!
As you can see, I love to jump on a trend/accessorizing bandwagon! My favorite accessory right now is a boater hat. Urban Outfitters sells my favorite for $39.
Right now is the perfect time to plan ahead and grab some cute Easter clothes. Or wear what you already own! Make sure to take a cute picture. These are the days!
