This year, decorating my dining room for the holidays is really special because we redid our kitchen this year, so I have a big table to use instead of the small one! I decided to set up a Christmas village in the center and set the table with some vintage pink and green tree plates. Want to see some of the festive touches on my holiday dining table?!
This blog post was written as part of my collaboration with eBay. All opinions are my own
holiday dining table
First of all, I wanted to show some pulled back shots of the dining table. Everything I got for my holiday table is from eBay and you can shop my picks here.
For this table, I specifically choose colors in the decor to go with the mint and pink in the wall wallpaper and complEment the traditional vibe.
dining details
I do love having Christmas specific plates! Pulling them out each year is so festive.
These pink Christmas tree plates are by the Johnson Brothers and are very vintage looking. They were actually made from 2003-2014 so they are microwave and dishwasher safe! The details on these are really gorgeous with the scalloped edge and intricate design.
Whenever I want a specific plate, I always search eBay and can usually find exactly what I want. When these aren’t set on the table, I’ll put them in my plate rack during the holiday season. Yay for something functional that doubles as decor!
glasses
How pretty are these glasses?! They’re both by Libbey (found on eBay). I love the pattern on the rose old fashioned glasses. They’re super heavy and feel very fancy to drink out of.
The wine glasses have a sleek modern look which feels nice with all the traditional decor.
For the napkin, I went with these metallic blush cuties. I think for the holidays you might as well go all out and be fancy! Last year I didn’t do anything on the holidays with anyone besides our immediate family, so since I’ll be doing some hosting I wanted to really celebrate! And for me that means nice napkins, real plates, and good company.
p.s. if you’re wondering about the flat ware, that was a vintage find from eBay. I bought a whole set in a nice case. It seriously makes me happy to pull these out! There’s a bunch of bamboo gold flatware on eBay right now if you want a similar look.
While searching on eBay I found the most perfect vintage brass Pointsettia napkin holders! Aren’t they like jewelry for the table?!
They arrived after I took of the pictures of the table, but I had to share since they’re really special. It’s all in the details- right?!
christmas village
Along the center of the table, I set up a whole Christmas village! Houses are one of my favorite motifs so cover them with snow and glitter and I’m in love!
pink village house/ snowman figurine / deer
These are all by Cody Foster and I found each house on eBay. These are something I’ve dreamed of owning for years, so I’m so excited!
cake stand
I placed each house on a cake stand to elevate them and then surrounded them with a bunch of bottle brush trees and whimsical touches. The scalloped cake stand in the middle is my favorite one!
Each of the Cody Foster houses are slightly different with a sweet little animal on them. These houses come in two sizes and I used all the small size here. The Village Church is on the left, then the mint village house, next to the pastel pink petite house, and last the darker pink Manor village home.
mint village house / deer / confetti pastel bottle brush tree
If you like these village houses, I thought I’d round up my favorites.
1. blue mill house with pup / 2. village barn with horse / 3. village church with buck / 4. mint and gold house with dog / 5. light pink house with deer / 6. chateau farmhouse pink with dog / 7. pink room with birds house / 8. wide light pink house with deer / 9. lavender house with scottie dog /
All around the village houses I have a variety of bottle brush trees. It’s a little forest! There’s the pastel confetti trees, white sparkle trees, the silver and gold bauble trees, and the pastel ombre bottle brush trees.
entertaining pieces
Since I’ll be hosting for the first time in awhile, I got some functional and beautiful pieces. Like these cheese knives. I love the wood handles and am counting down until I can have a fancy cheese plate and use these!
I shared this beautiful Staub cocotte with my home gift guide. Isn’t it beautiful?! I love that it can go in the oven or on the cook top. It’s what chefs use and I’m looking forward to a yummy stew cooked in it.
The last piece I wanted to share is this beautiful cheese board by JK Adams! It’s customized and would make a great gift. I think it’s beautiful as decor and would be awesome to use with cheese and crackers for a party.
So there’s my holiday dining table! What do you think? How special are those plates? And the village houses! And the bottle brush trees! It’s very festive with the fireplace at night. And everything is from eBay! Now who wants to come over for dinner?!
