A few months I walked into our dirty old shed and saw the potential. This was a space that had been loved. And I’d love it again.
It had been used to store all the things. But behind the clutter was insulated walls, shelves, and sectioned off walls- almost like a mini greenhouse. This didn’t need to be a storage room, I realized! It could be a beautiful place.
Well, we’ve put SO much work into this little space since then. This has slowly become my happy space- always full of light. Ready to see the she shed reveal?!

Where a wall and small window used to be, we switched it out for French doors. Hello light!
The whole interior was then clad in shiplap that I painted beloved pink by Behr. It took forever to install (and a very tall ladder), but this was the number one difference maker. This week, I hung the sweet sign over the doors- stay awhile!
On this wall, my husband built me a potting bench. It is now the perfect little work station. Just this week I sewed some skirting for the shelves so all the storage is enclosed. I LOVE the peony fabric I used! It’s sweet and happy. I had lots of people tell me not to put it up, but I LOVE the softness it adds.
In the spring, I used this area for potting plants. Right now it’s mostly used to store tools and supplies. I love coming in here every day- it really is a great spot to hang out! It is rose season at our house right now, so I cut some from a few bushes and they look beautiful in here.

On the back wall of the she shed is my shower curtain door. The shed continues beyond that doorway- just this section is mine. One day I might put in an actual door, but for now I’m fine with that big pop of color and pattern. I was worried it’d clash with the new skirting, but they’re such different scales that it doesn’t bother me.
The little corbels in here were found at an antique shop and I painted them pink. I bought them in the month before we could move into our house last summer. I was SO excited to find the right place for them. Luckily, they seem happy here. I had the idea to paint almost everything pink on pink- the shiplap, shelves, and corbels. I think its a fun retro look!
One of my favorite updates is the brass modern chandelier that we hung in here. It is bold and looks stunning over the table and chairs. Who has a chandelier in a shed?! Well, I love it and the ceiling was wired for it (the live wire was just hanging loose). I think this is a much better solution!
Down the road, I’d also like to cement the floor and then paint or tile it. That is way off in the future though, so for now, I’m calling it done! The pea gravel floors aren’t ideal, but they’re a step above dirt. Plus this outdoor rug softens the floors right up.I’ve been getting a lot of suggestions to paint the ceiling in rainbow stripes. I think that is the MOST fun idea! But for now, I’m going to hold off- the pink is pretty great! What do you think about a rainbow ceiling in here?!
I’ll add a links to everything you can buy in the she shed below. If you’re wondering were I got the cute art, it’s a free printable on my shop that you can get to here.
Alright! If you’d like to take a trip down memory lane and read every she shed post- you can catch up here.

I love all the pink!!! And I don’t think adding a more permanent flooring would be a huge cost and it would really elevate the whole space and protect your furniture and fixtures:)
