We’ve been in Florida a few weeks and are finally getting out to explore! Last week, we drove to Wynwood which is well known for it’s street murals. For a girl who loves a pretty backdrop, this is such a fun spot! We brought my new bike and strolled the streets.
wynwood
The main street where you can see the art is on 2nd NW Ave in Wynwood. Up and down each street for about an 8 block section, you can find some fun street art by different artists. We started on 27th street with these two (that are right next to each other):
Now, I’m going to be honest, having a bike in Wynwood isn’t ideal because the sidewalks are pretty crowded with people wanting to see the art. Plus, the main area to see the art doesn’t allow bikes (Here’s a link to it on Google Maps– it is between 25th and 26th street and 2nd and 3rd NW Avenue). But isn’t the bike such a cute photo prop?! Plus it was so nice to have when it was time to go back to the car.
Down 25th street, we found these four cuties! I can’t decide which I like better- the black or the pink floral!
And lastly, on 24th street, I found this cutie. It is somewhat similar to the Maya Hayuk art that has since been painted over (sob!).
maya hayuk wall
In case you aren’t familiar, this is the Maya Hayuk wall– probably the most photographed wall in Miami. Sometime late last year, it looks like it was painted over. So this is a PSA for anyone searching for this wall- it is gone. Which is so sad!
the best walls in miami round up
Alright, if those walls weren’t enough for you, I am sharing 3 other bloggers who have curated a collection of beautiful walls in Miami. I did a ton of research and these are the best ones- with addresses and a variety of options. Side note, please don’t pin these three images from my site- go directly to their page and pin from there.
bike
Lastly, I wanted to tell you about this bike! In Utah I had a cute beach cruiser that was terrible to ride. It felt like I always had major resistance, the gears didn’t shift well, and the handle grips were always falling off. Since it was such a beast to take around, I avoided biking. Which is lame because I really love riding a bike as a part of family adventure time!
Moving to Florida, we picked where we’re renting so that it was in biking distance to the beach. So I had to have a good bike! I did my research and got a bike from Pure Cycles. It is honestly the cutest bike I’ve ever owned (it is pink!) and it is so simple! Honestly though, the best part is that it is so easy to ride!
So, if you are in the market for a crazy cute bike that rides like a dream, you have my recommendation. Pure Cycles ships to the US and Canada. They reached out to me with a 15% off coupon code- just use athomewithashley at checkout! Here’s the link to the exact bike I got- the Step through beach cruiser in pink in one speed. Let me know if you end up getting one! I know you’ll love it!
Thank you to Pure Cycles for sending over the bike! This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

Right?! That section of town- Wynnwood has highest concentration of street art in the country! It’s not the most family friendly area, but maybe we should visit when you’re in town. xo
