We are starting on my bathroom renovation soon! I thought I’d show you before pictures, plans for the room, and tips on how to plan for a home renovation. I’ve redone probably 100 rooms in the past few years. So renovating is common place. But to have a special room, you need a good plan. Let me help you lay that important foundation.
How to Organize Lego
My son is 8 and LOVES playing with Lego. His collection has grown quite large. I thought I’d show you how to organize Lego- from sorting the individual pieces, mini figures, the instruction manuals, sets that are currently being played with, and broken down sets. I’ll also create a new system in this post. Let’s get started!
Small Billy Bookcase Dollhouse
Last month, I made a dollhouse shaped bookcase. I love it so much, I thought I’d make a mini version. For this I am using the Ikea Billy Bookcase that’s 15 3/4″ wide (half the size of the last one) to make this. It’ll be used specifically for Lego storage, but would also work for any toy storage and the small Billy Bookcase Dollhouse would be especially good for dolls.
All About Lenox Spice Villages
I’ve been collecting the Lenox Spice Village for 5 years and I want to tell you about it! If you’re not familiar, they’re tiny houses that you put spices in. There are also canisters, a recipe holder, butter dish (and more)! Which makes them a functional & beautiful collection for your kitchen! Today I’m going to tell you everything you need to know about the Lenox Spice Village.
the spice village is back- how to order!

After 35 years, Lenox has brought back their Spice Village!
There will be a few options for purchasing. First of all, is the full set of 24 houses. That is available for $299. Click here to shop. The wild thing is Lenox kept a very low price- it was originally $285 in 1989!
Another option is to buy a set of 6 spice houses. There are 4 options (set 1, set 2, set 3, and set 4). Each set of 6 is $75.
A picture of the 2nd edition Lenox Spice Village-

A few notes-

- The set does not include a rack to hold the spice jars. Lenox recently released their spice rack for $35. It has gone in and out of stock a few times.
- Currently, no international shipping is included. You must have a credit card and an address in the US to order them. This video gives tips on using a parcel shipping service to get it shipped out of the US.

The new set comes in a mint box with the houses on the front. The box is gorgeous! Each house is wrapped in paper with a cardboard grid between the houses. Mine didn’t come with the Lenox house tissue paper (since it was a PR item), but the tissue paper is usually very cute!

The bottom of the 2024 re-release is stamped with a “2nd Edition” stamp. The original is stamped with 1989 and has a 24 karat stamp. The new stamp is a champagne color.

2024 Project Plans
Happy 2024! I am feeling really good about the New Year. And what better way to celebrate than by planning some projects?! I have some big things in store including tearing a room to the studs, fixing a DIY failure, and taking classes to learn a new skill. Let’s go through the 2024 project plans!
Colorful Christmas Home Tour
This year for Christmas I went all out with my decor because my house was photographed! It was really exciting and I’ve loved how festive my house feels. I thought it’d be fun to share pictures and a video of how cute my house is looking. Want to come on a colorful Christmas home tour with me?!
DIY Wedgewood Inspired Ornaments
Every year I like to add some handmade elements to my Christmas decor. I love Wedgewood Jasperwood so I thought I could use the same look to create my own ornaments. This would be a very fun weekend project- especially while watching a movie. Here’s a tutorial to create DIY Wedgewood inspired ornaments if you would like to try this too!

I wanted to include an inspiration image in case you didn’t know what Wedgewood Jasperwood looks like. Wedgewood makes their own ornaments, but they’re pretty expensive. So for now, I’ll go the DIY route!
Ikea Table Hack
For my son’s room I want to upgrade his kid’s table that he’s outgrown for an adult size dining table where he can play Lego. I thought I’d do an Ikea table hack and take the plain Ingo table and add some wavy trim to it to make it much more fun (while still being functional).
How to Make a Big Bow for the Wall
I have long loved the look of Love Shack Fancy giant bows they use to decorate their stores! They actually have one for sale, but it’s super expensive! So I decided to make my own large bow to have on my Christmas tree. Afterwards, I plan on hanging it as decoration on the wall. Here’s how to make a big bow for the wall if you like the decorative, big impact look too.
Below I have linked some cute ready made big bows that’ll work too if you’d rather buy them. They range from $100-$2500.
Bookshelf Dollhouse- Billy Bookcase
It’s almost holiday time and I want to show you a really great DIY gift idea- a bookshelf dollhouse! In my son’s room we have a bunch of Dollhouse furniture items. I thought next up, I could use the Billy Bookcase to make it into a house shape. The roof section will be for miniatures and the rest will be for toy storage!
