I recently re-did my bedroom from top to bottom. The floors are one of my favorite elements in the space! Since April I’ve been working on redoing my bedroom! And it’s done!!! I really wanted a relaxing place to sleep that’s also romantic and cozy. And I’m going to tell you- at night when the sconces are glowing and I get to sleep in my fancy pants room, it feels like we achieved all our goals with this space! So let me show you the reveal of the main bedroom.

When we bought our 1905 house, it had transom. It was actually covered in wood and we restored it! Since then, I’ve wanted to add more transom window, but stained glass for extra pizazz! If you’ve ever wanted a stained glass transom I’ll show where to buy the glass and how to install it.
Last year was the first year I felt successful as a gardener. My husband built me a few raised garden beds and our little vegetable garden really flourished! This year I figured that I’d add in some flowers for a cut flower garden so I can have lots of blooms to decorate with. Here are some gardening tips for beginners so you can be successful too!
My first year gardening, I started my own seeds and put them in the garden in the backyard. The plants were small and weak. The soil wasn’t very healthy. Plus we had to remember to water it everyday (which didn’t always happen). Our dogs trampled lots of the plants. The result was fatal and I don’t think anything yielded from that crop.
After building my raised garden last year to much success, I feel confident with making our garden even bigger! I learned from my mistakes and thought I’d share what worked.

I bought a GIANT candle stick from a vintage market. It’s solid wood and I’ll use it for my bedroom that we’re currently making over- probably as a plant stand. I think it’s cute painted, but I definitely bought it planning on stripping it. So I thought I’d share some paint stripping tips especially since this is a tricky piece with detailed wood.
Here’s what the plant/candle stand looked like at the vintage market.
You can see that there were some drips of polyurethane. The bones on this piece are so good! Ready to see how paint stripping works on it?!
I was decorating my son’s room and put a rainbow macrame wall hanging that I had just made on one door knob of the closet. It looked cute, but needed something to balance it out. Right now we’re working on redoing our main bedroom and closet. I really want to fill the space with special pieces.
