With switching our office to a guest room last week, I had an extra sofa that I needed to find room for. The living room made the most sense so I wanted to share how it’s looking with our leather sofa.
I actually really like it! There’s WAY more seating which feels super comfy. For now, I think the coffee table will be ok, but in the long run it needs to be bigger to work fo both sofas.
We still use the leather sofa most since it faces the TV, but the pink sofa is the BEST to sleep on (which might come in handy for naps this winter). I’d love to hear your thoughts on this change in the comments. Do you like the sofa in here?
It’s getting pretty cold here. Actually, we’ve gotten snow already! Help! But one plus side of cooler weather is being inside together. And I love turning on our record player and listening to music. If you’re looking for one as a gift or for yourself, here are the cutest record players under $100.
The Cutest Record Players Under $100
So, I know we still have Thanksgiving but I seriously can’t wait to listen to Christmas music on my record player! I mean, what can be better than listening to vintage holiday songs on a record player while you decorate the tree???
Also, I love turning on music while I clean. Growing up, we would clean as a family to music. And we would each pick one room to clean in for one song. Then, once the song was over we would switch rooms. Since there were five of us cleaning, the entire house would get cleaned in just thirty minutes.
here’s a picture of the living room from when we first moved in!
Nowadays, I do the same thing with my family. Don loves choosing the record we play based on which album cover he likes the most.
We have so much fun with ours that I wanted to share some cute, budget-friendly options with you. Whenever I get asked about my record player, most people assume that it cost a lot. But there are actually so many inexpensive options out there!
1 Pink / 2 Floral / 3 Jodlai / 4 Dusty Rose / 5 Mint /
6 Turquoise / 7 Dusty Purple / 8 Yellow / 9 Plaid
I got so excited while I was finding these because there are so many gorgeous options out there. But I don’t think my husband would appreciate if I started a record player collection lol.
Like #2, the floral Crosley one. It is sooo pretty! But how fun would it be to have #9, the plaid Victrola just for the holidays?
However, I do think that a record player would make an awesome gift. All of these options cost less than $100. And #6 rings up at only $39!
Which one looks fun to you? Tell me in the comments!
my favorite records
I thought I’d also share a few of my favorite records. Because, if you get a record player you need some records ;)! The links are for Amazon, but the thrift shop is a great place to check for $0.50 vinyl! These three are Don’s favorites-
Here are my favorite records released in the last 5 years or so. I love buying new music on vinyl because you get the actual record and lots of times you get the mp3 download too. Just make sure to read the description closely to make sure it’s included.
Next, here are my favorite classics. Mostly this is stuff I grew up listening to that I found at the thrift store, though it’s available new too (and sometimes with mp3 downloads). It’s super sentimental to listen to and I get to pass the love of this music onto Don too.
Last, I have a few vinyls on my wishlist. I just watched Bohemian Rhapsody and need some more Queen in my life ;).
PS, I also rounded up some pretty record player stands here.
If you love it, pin it!
I love these!! We got my dad a record player a few years ago to play all his old albums and it’s SO charming. He passed away earlier this year and the record player now sits in my house, it was always played at Christmas so it truly brings back good memories 🙂
Thanks, Jennifer. The holidays can be hard when you’ve lost a loved one. I’m sure your dad will be there with you enjoying Christmas albums together <3
Both couches look so good! That will be awesome for entertaining!
Thanks, Alyssa! Yay for more guest seating!
