Good morning friends! One of my goals with writing this blog is to encourage everyone that is it possible to have the home of your dreams! Today I am going to show you how to style four areas in your house. Arranging your accessories in a pleasing way is a really easy and affordable way to make your home look pretty in minutes! I will share with you the easy to follow formulas with videos that I’ve learned as a professional Interior Designer. I am so excited about this post and teamed up with Extra Space Storage to bring it to you. Here we go!
coffee table
How to style your coffee table…
Your goal with your coffee table is to have a decorated and practical space.
-Start with a stack of books. These should add a nice pop of color and be a reflection of your personality.
-Remember to add some height with a hurricane, candle stick, or greenary.
-A tray is the perfect coffee table accessory because it can corral decorations and remote controls.
-Adding in a quirky item (like a brass ram!) keeps your table from being too serious.
-A magnifying glass is perfect on your stack of books. A match box and a candle are another great set of functional additions for your coffee table.

night stand
How to style your nightstand…
Your goal with your bedside table is to create a happy space for going to bed.
-Start with lighting. You should have a lamp or sconce that you can turn off from bed.
-Have something that takes up vertical space like art.
-Next, focus on the horizontal space—a stack of books or a tray works nicely.
-Have something natural (like peonies!) that fills the space between the horizontal and vertical items.
-Include at least one item that makes you smile. This is a great place to put a quirky item like my brass pineapple bell or bunny ear alarm clock. Anything that adds character and breaks up the monotony.

bar cart
Your goal with a bar cart is to have a beautiful place to serve up drinks.
-Start by placing art on the back of your cart. This is a good way to add height and color.
-Adding Flowers will soften up all of the glassware and bottles.
-Items like a shaker and ice bucket contribute both practicality and dimension.
-Layer in your glassware. Hint- gold rimmed glasses add sparkle to the cart.
-A decorative object (like a ceramic pineapple) finish off the cart with whimsy and personality.

kitchen shelves
How to style your kitchen open shelves…
Your goal with open shelving in a kitchen is to have functional storage that doubles as a display.
-Start by using your dishes and glassware. Put the items you use most on the bottom shelf so they’re easy to get to.
-Layer cutting boards leaning on your backsplash. These add great warmth, texture, and function.
-Art is a great way to add personality and color to your space!
-Flowers or a small plant work beautifully in a kitchen since they have close access to water.
-Cooking books are both beautiful and practical.
-Finish by layering in pieces that add some personality like my brass bicycle or pink recipe tin. A pitcher, tray, pretty soap, or teapot would all work perfectly in a kitchen as well.
