When we first moved into our house, this is what the porch looked like- fine, but nothing special. The doors were white vinyl with an arched window. And lots of dents and scratches. I dreamed about changing it, and finally that happened!
my new pink front door
We ordered our new door through Simpson Door Company. I chose the 3130 door because of its classic lines- isn’t it perfect for our house!? The door is made of solid fir wood. It is handcrafted and was made custom for our house. The door is heavy and gorgeous!
The glass screen doors came down. They left a glimpse of pink paint from when the previous owner painted the house pink.
We’ve done A LOT of work on the porch- stay tuned for a full post on the updates (in the above photo, my husband was wiring for the new lanterns while I was painting).
I painted the front Beloved Pink by Behr in satin. I’ve had so many people say that it is the perfect pink and I agree! It is soft and sweet, not too bold, but still fun. Ready to see how it turned out?!
I have to say- having this view is such a dream come true! I honestly almost started crying when we attached the center onlay (the fancy molding) above the door. We lived in a condo for 9 years with a door we couldn’t paint and then rented. So to have a gorgeous door of my own- it means the world to me.
We have two front doors on our house (got to love old homes!). This one leads to our living room. We replaced both doors and painted them Beloved Pink. They are a joy to come home to. If you haven’t painted your front door and can- I really suggest it! It’ll take you less than an hour and then you have the happiest sight when you arrive.
The whole porch is decorated for Halloween. This is a sneak peek and I have some fun tutorials and a full tour planned!
But I did want to mention these cute pillows- they are from Ivy & Sage Market. They shared a discount code on my Instagram, but I thought I’d mention here that if you use the code ASHLEY, you can get 2 pillow covers for $20 (and you know how much I love pillow covers)! I LOVE the Hocus Pocus quote and the graphic spiders are so cute!
I thought I’d share the inside of the door too since its just as cute!
Anyway, I love LOVE the front doors! They make me smile whenever I see them. I’m so happy to have quality doors that feel original. The molding on the door are stunning and the pink really finishes them off!
fall doormat layering
I recently got the CUTEST fall hey there pumpkin doormat from Etsy. Its the perfect happy touch when I arrive! I layered it over a pink floral rug and I’m in love! I thought I’d share some fun doormat layering options in case you want to try this too! From what I figure, fall is when we start layering our clothes, so layering rugs seems perfect 😉
hey there pumpkin / Madeline blush pink rose rug / Fall-elujah Fall Doormat / Threshold vintage wool rug / come in and cozy up doormat / Anatolia pink rug / pumpkin everything doormat / Isabella rug /
The beauty of these is that they’ll be perfect through Thanksgiving. A standard size doormat will layer perfectly over a 2’x3′ rug. Since they are such a small size, you can get the bottom rug for an awesome price- as low as $10! Here’s some more Halloween options-
skeleton Halloween doormat / grey buffalo check rug / Halloween pumpkin doormat / Ikat tasseled pink and orange rug / count your blessings colorful doormat / check woven accent rug / Gather doormat / Overdyed mint Threshold rug
Now I want to know- which rug is your favorite? Are you wanting a new door? Or possibly to paint your door pink ;)? Let me know in the comments! Happy fall!
