DIY Dog Feeding Station

I’ll be 100% honest- our recent move from Utah to Florida was a little rough on our dogs- Derek (the black and white pup) took it the worst. As we settled in, he tensed up and would yelp out in pain frequently. We took him to the vet who said it was in his head and it’d get better.

It was so sad to me! Derek was my first baby so we did everything to keep him comfy. We were all a little worried about him- he just turned 8 so he isn’t the youngest. [Read more…]

A few years ago, I visited The Lake District in England where Beatrix Potter dreamed up Peter Rabbit. If I could spend a summer anywhere- it’d be there.

Florida Dining Room- The Plan

The decorating of our Florida home continues! As a back story to any new visitors, my family moved to Miami, Florida from Salt Lake City, Utah in January of 2018. I am decorating the gorgeous home corner by corner with the best DIY’s, thrift store finds, and affordable decor I can find! Today I am sharing the plan for my dining room.

During December when I was freezing in Utah I started planning out the design for our Florida dining room. I came up with the concept for the new space and I was oh so excited! Like, I told all of my friends and family about it because it felt like me more than any other room I’ve ever designed! It embraces pattern and color and most of all- pink!

Don’s Florida Bedroom- the Plan

Moving to Florida and an empty home, my first priority was to get Don settled and comfortable in his new room. I started dreaming about his space a few months ago- I think a child’s room is a great excuse to have fun and by doing so, create an environment where his imagination can soar.

I’ve been embracing a coastal vibe for this home since we are minutes from the beach. I love a theme for a kid room and for Don’s new room, it will be “The Sea.” This quote by Louisa May Alcott epitomizes what I am thinking about for the room “I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship.” Ready to see the mood board?!
