When I was little, I fell in love with organizing. My mom had a book called “Confessions of an Organized Homemaker.” (Is that not the most 80’s title ever?!) I devoured that book and applied everything I learned to various closets in our house.

I’ve had a thing for globes ever since I was younger. They’ve always been a little piece of magic to me! My parents had a yellow globe with a gold stand that they kept in their office in my childhood home. It was textured in the places where there were mountains, and I thought it was fun to spin it and see where my finger would land and imagine traveling to that place. Oh, nostalgia!

The tropical theme for our rental has given me the perfect excuse to decorate with lots of greenery. It’s definitely making it feel like our own little island paradise! I like keeping a watering container in each room to help me remember to water my little plant friends. Because, heaven forbid I kill anymore of them!
Side note, I heard two things about plants lately that I love. Number one- if you add a little Miracle Grow to your watering can every week it’ll help keep your plants happy. Number two- plants are good for you because they clean out your air. Plus, having living things around is always a good idea.
