My office is a little sad- especially the wall art. I’m on a budget so I was brainstorming how to make a big impact on a tiny budget. I decided to thrift some picture frames and give them a new life! This used picture frames makeover has a hint of rainbow and I’m so excited to show the process! It’s a zero to hero project over here.
Cute Packaging Ideas for Small Business
Last year I sold my first physical handmade product. It went great, but I knew I could do better on the packaging. Isn’t there something magical about opening something that has been sent with love? When packaging is done in a way that is creative, professional, and reflects a brand, it adds value to the product. Plus, it’s a great way to make customers happy. Here’s some cute packaging ideas for small business.
How to Decorate around a TV
I was feeling like the wall my TV is on was a little boring. I usually like gallery walls around a TV, but with the pictures on the stairs it was too much. Instead, I decided to go for trim, a library light, and painting the cabinet for a fun pop of color. I thought I’d give some tips for how to decorate around a TV while I show how I changed mine up.
LVT Flooring Installation
We live in a 1905 house and when we moved in three years ago, I painted my son’s floors white. It is a pain to clean and looks pretty rough, so I thought I’d update the floors with vinyl plank flooring? Why- it’ll look beautiful, it’s easy to install, it cleans well, and is durable. While we redid the floors, I also updated the room too! Here’s the tutorial for the LVT flooring installation.
How to Paper a Ceiling by Yourself
My bathroom is cute, but I thought it was missing some pattern. So to add personality to my rainbow bathroom, I choose to wallpaper the ceiling! I figured adding more color would be good, plus I wanted to try out this trend (a wallpaper ceiling is a big look right now). This is a project I did all on my own so I thought I’d share some tips on how to paper a ceiling by yourself.
Fabric Pumpkins
With fall being here, I am excited for some festive decorations! But I like them to match my decor too. So I decided to make my own fabric pumpkins in colors that will match my house. This is a pretty easy project and I’ll walk you through each step.
Painted Grandfather Clock
I was thrifting the other day and spotted the cutest grandfather clock. Well, it was it was the shell of one because it was missing the actual clock part. I didn’t buy it at first- even though it was only $25. But I fell in love with it and luckily it was still there when I checked the next day! Now I want to show you how I redid it and my finished painted grandfather clock.
Headboard Bench
In my garage for the past few years I’ve stored a vintage twin headboard. While working on my backyard, it came to me- it would look so cute as a bench outside! This is a relatively easy project that most people could do. Vintage headboards are affordable at thrift shops or on Facebook Marketplace. Here’s a step by step tutorial for how to make a headboard bench.
Living Room Screen
Our living room is in need of a little personality- especially in the corner where we used to have a fireplace. I’m going to show you how to use a living room screen to add texture, interest, and pattern.
Rainbow Embroidered Hat
A few weeks ago, I was watching a home tour on YouTube. The house was cute, but all I could think about was the amazing rainbow embroidered hat the homeowner was wearing! So I got to researching and found the rainbow hat, but it is $1775! Too rich for my blood. So I got to thinking? Could I make one?
P.s. here’s the home tour video below. I love to watch these while I eat lunch! If you ever need some inspiration, check a few out.
