DIY Rainbow Heart Wreath

I love holidays and decorating for them, but I’ve done nothing for Valentine’s Day. So I decided a wreath was the perfect item! And of course, I wanted it to be hearts and rainbow because, well, if you know me those make me happy. So I ran to the store for supplies and then make a fun DIY rainbow heart wreath!

Growing up- I loved Valentine’s Day! Having Valentine cards to share with my class mates and making a fun box. Dressing up for school. It was all so much fun!

Since my little family will all home this year, I’ve ordered some personalized chocolates for my two Valentine’s from my favorite small chocolate shop. I’ve also have supplies to make heart shaped pancakes. I think it’ll be fun! Do you do anything special for Valentine’s Day?

Plans for the Garage Laundry Room

The time has come, the day is now. I’m going to make my laundry space cute. But let’s be real- it’s going to be challenging. We have a small garage that the washer and dryer are in so it’ll be tricky to take it from utilitarian to real special. But I have plans for the garage laundry room! I’ve been dreaming about this and now- I get to show you my ideas!

DIY Mosaic Table Top with Broken Dishes

Last year I got a cute outdoor set of furniture, but the gray stain has not held up to the weather. I’ve redone the matching bench and chairs by painting them. But I thought for this project I’d do a DIY mosaic table top with broken dishes. I figured it’d be perfect to thrift some floral China plates for decorating the top of the coffee table!

When I was little, my grandma showed my her neighbor’s backyard. They’d spend hours and hours adding mosaic to almost every surface- the table, stones, paths down the garden. The memory is a little fuzzy, but I remember how magical it felt to be surrounded by someone’s beautiful and unique art!

What to do about Peeling Paint

We’re working on an update in the main bedroom. When pulling off the wallpaper I found a major issue- peeling paint. And not just a little, but all the walls had big chunks missing. Making an Air BNB Legal and Following Regulations

When starting an Airbnb, one of the important steps is looking into the laws your city, county, and/or state might have. Making an Air BNB legal and following regulations is important! The last thing you want is to start a business of renting out your house as a short term rental after setting it up, & then have it shut down because you aren’t following the local regulations.

Bedroom Inspiration: The Colony

Last year we bought our Florida house and I thought “I’m going to be more bold! I’m going to try new things!” And I did. Some of it worked, but some was a fail. Case in point- my bedroom. I ordered the wallpaper sight unseen and it was too dark for my liking. After living with it and hating it for a year, it came down. And I’m ready to share my bedroom inspiration: The Colony.

Colorful Cookbooks

When I first decorated my floating shelves in my kitchen, I felt like something was missing. I wanted to have a rainbow moment in the room, but just the dishes weren’t cutting it. Then I had a stroke of genius- cookbooks! Now I know this isn’t that ground breaking. But I thought- maybe I could collect colorful cookbooks and put them out in rainbow order. See? Genius 😉

DIY Beam Doorway

When I redid my kitchen, I originally wanted to rip down the wall between the living room. When I decided to save 10k and leave the wall up, I decided to really embrace the division of room. Since I wanted to do a ship lap ceiling in the kitchen, I decided to put up a DIY beam doorway. This further divided the two rooms, but for the better I think!
