DIY Picture Molding and Thrift Store Accessory Flips

My bedroom has been a work in progress. Right when we moved in, I put wallpaper up over the chair molding and below has been blank and sad and lonely. I always knew I wanted to put up some fancy trim and finally got after it! I was hoping it would balance out the wallpaper- keep reading to see if it did! Dinosaur Birthday Party

How to Paint a Dresser

My son’s room consisted of a bed and a lot of toys everywhere. Since we moved, we’ve been slowly accumulating furniture and walked into a thrift store and found a cute dresser and night stand set. Get this though- it was $37 for both! I had to get them! Since then, they’ve sat, not touched in the room looking sad. So it was time for an update! Here’s how to paint a dresser.

Before of the dresser-

Try to look past all that toy and keep reading for how I’ll be addressing it! The dresser was a light wood and not terrible.

Now, before you message me saying that it looks beautiful, there was some damage on the sides (which you can see in the video). The whole thing is laminate so the damage could only be addressed by painting. I totally respect that others would have kept it as is, but for me and my house, color is the answer!

Where to Print Printable Art

It’s no secret that I’ve been on a bit of a budget while decorating this house. One way that I’ve been saving money is with art. What I’ve been doing is buying thrift store frames and then adding printable art. You know, prints that you can download online and then get printed locally (here’s a list of my favorite sources). But the question is- where to print printable art?

I’ve always had a printing service I love, but I’ve struggled to find one after moving here. Truthfully, I’m still mourning when there was a super affordable print shop next store to my son’s preschool where I could quickly print exactly what I needed for cheap. Now, I’m feeling lost. My Favorite Thrift Shops in Logan, Utah

When I was little, I grew up shopping at thrift stores. That thrifty attitude really stuck with me and now I love finding affordable pieces and the thrill of the hunt!
