I am so, so excited to share this year’s Christmas tree! Like last year, I went with a rainbow color blocked tree (pink up top and then orange, yellow, green, and then blue- can you see it?!). To elevate the look, I added florals in each color! I think it makes the color story stronger. Want to see more pictures of my floral and rainbow Christmas tree?!

Anthropologie Style at the Thrift Store
Every week on Instagram, I do a series called “thrift store Thursday” where I go to a second hand store and share fun finds and how to up-cycle the items for modern decor. I LOVE it! This week, I thought I’d see what Anthropologie inspired items I could find. Or items that I could make over to look like the high end pieces. I call it Anthropologie style at the thrift store.

DIY Anthopologie Inspired Gingerbread House Doormat
A few weeks ago, I was window shopping on Anthropologie website and I saw the cutest gingerbread house doormat! I didn’t grab it and now it’s sold out. You gotta get the good stuff early! Anyway, I really wanted it for my porch (I love decorating it for the holidays). But, I figured, I can make that! Here is my DIY gingerbread house doormat.
Note, I’m a total beginner at Cricut projects and this is a more intermediate level craft since the pattern is so intricate. I’m going to walk you through it and make it easier by providing the house image that you can easily import into Cricut’s Design Space.
How to Add a Transfer to a Dresser
Last month as we switched the office to a guest room, I thrifted a super cute $40 dresser. It looked ok from far away, but close up it was a little bit beat up. I figured since I needed to paint it, I might as well dress it up too! So here’s a post on how to add a transfer to a dresser.
Here’s the dresser before. It’s super nice to have this closed storage now! And it’ll work great for guests too! Close up, there were some scuffs.
