A few weeks ago, I revealed all of the pictures of the laundry room my husband and I worked so hard on. Then, a week later, I tallied up every last invoice and receipt and shared a breakdown of the total cost. This was a higher-end renovation and the total (close to $10k) reflected that.

Since then, I have received countless messages and DMs requesting a “low version” of my laundry room. I LOVE design at a good price so I was happy to oblige!
A large portion of the budget was replacing the water heater and going with a tankless option. Another chunk was the price to replace the rotted wall. Those two items take out about $4000 of the cost (bringing it down to $6000)
I also splurged on some of the accessories and tile and millwork. The ones I consider budget friendly, I included below. If you go with simpler options on the high end items, it turns out that you can get a similar look for much less. Let’s see-

There you go, essentially, I cut the price for the laundry room in half by simplifying and going for budget options. I still stand by my selections for this room, but I hope it’s helpful that you can get this same look for and affordable price tag.
p.s. keep up on all of the laundry room posts below!

Laundry Room tour. Ideas for how to makeover a small space with big style. I used beige and peach, mosaic floors, and white subway tile for a Cottagecore design. DIY bow cornices and washer and a painted garbage can.

Confession- I am an DIY addict! Whenever I hear of a project I haven’t done, I can’t help but think- I can do that! I have a long list of ideas to try out. It’s actually pretty fun!

Over the past 10 months of living in this house, we’ve added window covers to each room. Except the kitchen. Which is a little dumb of me because the neighbors are SO close to us! At night we really need the privacy, so I grabbed some

Let’s talk about child care- shall we?! I honestly could chat about this for ages. And no one seems to talk about it! Being a mom is really important to me and spending quality time with my son is a priority. But I also like to get things done. I feel happier when I have a project to do and a little time on my own.
The last I shared of the She Shed was this cute vignette. The truth is, that just above where the camera cuts off was bare studs- no shiplap. I thought adding that in and doing the finishing touches would be fast. Turns out that I was crazy wrong!
Earlier this week I shared the
A few weeks ago, I popped by an estate sale in my neighborhood. It was a good one! I grabbed lots of little books and also snagged a $5 little waterfall cabinet that was in rough shape. I’ve been wanting to try some new (to me) techniques on furniture. I figure, you might as well have some fun since you’re already painting! For this piece, I tried painting it ombre.
