I love my living room, but there are definitely some problem areas. Take, for example, this area-

Living Room Reveal and Christmas Decor!
Over the past few months I have been slowly redoing my living room- buying items when I fell in love with them and slowly layering in pieces when it made sense. I thought I would be done at the beginning of November and that I’d share with you reveal photos then. But life happens.
I am finally done with the living room and wanted to share with you where we are at today with the Christmas decorations all up! P.s. keep reading to the bottom for a fun giveaway!
end table
First off, I ordered a brass and marble end table and this is what arrived:

Its gorgeous! But I really wanted the grey marble that was shown in the photo on the website (the green looked terrible with the rest of my decor). The company didn’t want me to return it and refunded me fully, so I figured I’d make it work. [Read more…]
Entry Refresh
Hello! I have been busy over here refreshing our front porch and entry. These are areas that weren’t so bad, but with a few tweaks, I’m loving them more than ever. Outside, on our front porch, we have the cutest little stoop. We live in a condo and the back corner is all ours. It desperately needed one small update.
front porch light
One of the glass panels broke on the exterior light. It wasn’t a big deal until a bird lived there all last spring. That sweet bird made a nest in there, pooped in there, and would fly out and scare you to death every time we came or left the house. The bird has long since left, but her mess remained:

Guest Room + Gift Guide
Thanks Overstock for teaming up with me on this post!
As you guys know, a few months ago I was invited to tour Overstock’s headquarters and get to know their staff (here’s the recap in case you missed it). I absolutely fell in love with the whole team and the company.
And guess what? I’m doing another project with them that makes me SO happy. Why? Overstock asked me to give away a room. Um, yes please!
The first person that came to mind is my big sister Kate. She just moved into a new (to her) house that is perfect for her family. I’ll be sharing more details later in this post – but first, the holidays wouldn’t be complete without a gift guide!
gift guide
Gifting season is here! I love the idea of giving items (or entire rooms!) that will warm up someone’s home in a major way! I pulled a few of my favorite items from Overstock that will be going in the room that I think will make the perfect gifts. Overstock shared my picks with those of 5 other amazing home bloggers here:

Finishing up the Bathroom Renovation
This is the last week to tie up all of the loose ends in the bathroom renovation. Aka, crunch time, or “don’t do anything else but work on the bathroom time.” I’m so excited to finish it so we can have a little relaxation. My husband has been such a trooper- he’s worked on the bathroom every minute he hasn’t been at work (thanks babe!).
The One Room Challenge usually is a 6 week thing, but this year they added one more week- and thank goodness! We need it! As a recap, here are all of the weekly progress posts if you need to catch up: The last we left off with week 5 the toilet and floors had just been installed. Here’s the links to week 4, week 3, week 2 and week 1.

My Rules for Dressing Little Boys

Don’s adorable outfit is from Kid to Kid. The jeans were only $4.99!
When Don was born, I was so, so excited! But I grew up with all sisters and my husband doesn’t let me dress him, so I was a little clueless as to how to dress Don. Here are my rules for dressing little boys: [Read more…]

How to Redo your Bathroom when its your only One
Well, its week 4 of our bathroom remodel. As a quick recap, I am redoing my bathroom over 6 weeks and am sharing the progress here, in real time, as part of the One Room Challenge. Here are the past weeks if you need to catch-up: week 1, week 2, and week 3.
When we last left off, we had put the vanity in place. We may have jumped the gun a little, but we had a friend who could help lift it up the stairs and that way we could park in our garage again:
